Joanne Egan – raised US$150 for African Rainforest Conservancy
Why did you decide to fundraise? A friend of mine did a fundraiser campaign when she went on a mountaineering expedition last year and I really admired her (and supported her). So I thought – why not do it too?
What made you choose this charity? I love trees (and forests) so the African Rainforest Conservancy’s Kilimanjaro Project grabbed my attention. Secondly, as I am running in the Kili half marathon in Tanzania why not keep it local and support the amazing Kilimanjaro mountain forest?
How have you found fundraising online? The thought of putting myself out there was daunting at first, but relative easy once you do it! GivenGain has also been very supportive and the donation process is fairly easy.
